P25- The picture depicts the monument of the Unknown Soldier in Jaada-ye Maiwand. The intersection is known as Sar-e Chawk. This area of Kabul was almost flattened when the Mujahideen started fighting each other in early to mid 90s. Although this intersection is a prime location for doing business, there are still plenty of damaged and destroyed buildings in this area. The Pol-e Khishti Mosque is visible in the background.
