- Afghan Peace Accord (Islamabad Accord)
- Tashkent Declaration
(July 1999) "The Deputy Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the
"Six plus Two" group, with the participation of the Special
Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General for Afghanistan, Mr. Lakhdar
Brahimi, having considered the situation in Afghanistan, being sincere
friends of the Afghan people and desiring peace and prosperity for
Afghanistan, have confirmed the following principles." From
the start, this is an insult to the intelligence of all Afghans and friends
of Afghanistan, as some of the very states that have destroyed Afghanistan
and are continuing to fuel the current war, call themselves as "friends
of the Afghan people". Indeed with friends like these, who needs
an enemy?
- Islamabad Accord
(March 1993): In an attempt to forge peace among rival Mujahideen political
Tanzim (Party) groups, the factions signed this accord in March of 1993. As
it turned out, it too was a total failure.
- Peshawar Accord (March
1993): This accord was signed by the Mujahideen political Tanzim (Party)
groups to lay the groundwork for the formation of the Islamic State of
Afghanistan. As the ISA, it was a failure from day one.
- Geneva Accord -
International Guarantees between the US and the USSR (April 1988):
Declaration between the US and the USSR on international guarantees. Afghan
resistance representation was missing from these negotiations as the
Pakistani government had assumed speaking for the Afghan side - seeds of the
conflicts that followed are laid.
- Geneva Accords -
Agreement between Pakistan's Zia-ul-Haq's government and the Communist
government of Dr. Najib representing Afghanistan (April 1988):
Bilateral agreement between the republic of Afghanistan and the Islamic
Republic of Pakistan on the principles of mutual relations, in particular on
non-interference and non-intervention.
